Recall: Chrysler Sebring And Dodge Avengers

Posted April 16th, 2008 By Steve Nardone | General News

Chrysler just annouced that it will be recalling 2007-2008 Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avengers. Vehicles sold during that time need to have an electrical defect fixed that affects unused connectors on the tire pressue monitoring system. Apparently, corrosion can cause a short, and owners could experience their vehicles failing to start, stalling once underway, or some other affectations of the electrical components, including the cruise control. Formal notices are going to be sent out later this month.

When you receive your notice, be sure to give the Franklin Sussex Automall Service Department a call so we can schedule a time for you to bring your vehicle in and have the problem corrected!

Juan Pablo Montoya, driver of the number 42 Texaco/Havoline Dodge Charger for NASCAR, is a new face to many Americans, but is well known in Europe because of his Formula 1 days. With this, Chrysler Corporation thought it was fitting to have him introduce and track test the new Dodge Caliber SRT4 at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this month. Here is the video of that test …

Chrysler Boosts AWD Fuel Economy

Posted April 9th, 2008 By Bill Snouffer | General News

Chrysler recently announced that they’ve developed an innovative new system that will increase the fuel economy of their 2009 AWD Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger to rival the current mileage of their existing RWD platform.

This system was one of several new technologies that Chrysler revealed at its Auburn Hills technical center.

Over the last year, product development teams at Chrysler have been working extremely hard to improve their current model lineup. With over 500 improvements already made, Frank Klegon (VP of Product Development) promises that there are even more on the horizon including reduced engine noise for the Jeep Patriot and Dodge Caliber and soft-touch materials in some of the vehicles’ interiors.

This new and innovative all-wheel drive system improves fuel economy by disconnecting the front axle from the drivetrain until the all-wheel drive system becomes necessary for safety and control.

As I check out our current inventory, we’ve got a little over two dozen Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger vehicles that are a blast to drive and boast great fuel mileages already!

The Experience Was More Than I Expected …

Posted February 22nd, 2008 By Bill Snouffer | Customer Testimonials

At Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, we believe in providing more than just a service to our current and potential customers. We strive to provide them with an experience!

I recently received this letter from another one of our extremely satisfied customers. Our sales and finance departments worked together to help Mr. Skurla drive away with a brand new vehicle. A vehicle that will be backed by one of the best dealerships in the country!

On Friday, I walked into your dealership with the intention of simply asking a few questions concerning Dodge Ram pickup trucks. I walked out owning a new 2008 pickup truck.

The overall experience was informative, pleasant and I never felt intimidated or pressued into making a decision.

My sales person was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions I threw at him that afternoon. In addition, he was very patient and pleasant throughout the entire process. We looked at vehicles and test rides were offered.

After deciding on a truck, my sales person and I enetered into negotiations concerning the final price of the vehicle. I felt there was an honest and open, give and take until the final deal was struck. I felt I was being treated fairly and both sides negotiated a sound deal.

I must also compliment your sales manager for his efforts in making the deal come to fruition. He worked hard, coming to a fair price for the vehicle and did an exceptional job in working with my trade-ins. Your sales manager did not have to take the time or effort that he did but his efforts helped make the deal a reality.

Your finance manager should also be commended. He carefully explained the deal and provided answers to all of the questions that I had.

The overall buying experience was more than I expected and I will recommend your dealership to friends.

2008 Dodge Challenger

Posted February 21st, 2008 By Bill Snouffer | Dodge Vehicles, Vehicle Spotlight

The 2008 Dodge Challenger has finally arrived!

With its ground shaking performance, unmistakable design cues and world-class ride and handling characteristics, the return of the iconic Dodge Challenger brings what pony car fanatics crave! Developed by Chrysler’s in-house performance engineering organization, the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 was engineered with a focus on the five pillars of every SRT vehicle: bold exterior design that resonates with the brand image, a race-inspired interior, world-class ride and handling across a dynamic range, a standout powertrain and benchmark braking.

For 2008, Dodge will be producing only 6,400 models in three distinct colors, HEMI Orange, Bright Silver Metallic and Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat. Each 2008 model will have the same SRT8 6.1L HEMI V8 with 425 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque that will propell the Challenger from 0-60 mph in the low 5-second range along with a 1/4 mile time of less than 14 seconds.

With an MSRP of $37,995, most (if not all) 2008 Challengers have already been accounted for by customers who put deposits down the first week they were able to. Currently, Chrysler has provided Franklin Sussex Auto Mall with three.

Here are a couple shots of Dodge’s latest muscle car!
