On behalf of Franklin Sussex Auto Mall and the High Point Mudslingers, I would like to extend our gratitude and sincere thanks to the Sussex Fire Department and First Aid Squad, the girls of Hooters in Franklin, RER Supply, North Church Gravel, and most importantly, the Jeep enthusiasts who made it all possible!  Approximately 100 Jeeps of every make and model you can think of started lining up at the Auto Mall entrance at 7:30am.   After registering in at the American Diabetes Association/Mudslingers table, our Jeep guests made their way to their event of choice….Obstacle Course, RTI Ramp or Show-N-Shine.  The early day rain did nothing, but make the mudpit even better.  After the sun came out, this event turned into one of the most memorable to date at Franklin Sussex Auto Mall.   The grill was cooking full blast to feed the great crowd, who donated $3 per person toward the American Diabetes Association for the all-you-could-eat BBQ.  WSUS was live on remote with additional prizes, DJ Eddy was spining the tunes, and WPIX -TV stopped by to film for the nightly broadcast!  My favorite part of the day was a ride through the obstacle course courtesy of High Point Mudslinger, Scott Feldman.  What a ride!  Personally, I was amazed witnessing these Jeeps crawl/bounce/climb over everything in their path!  It made me want to join one of the countless “family” of Jeep clubs, so I can do this every weekend.  No wonder they are America’s favorite 4×4!  Stop by the Auto Mall and test drive one for yourself.  Believe me, it’s a very impressive vehicle.

Just when you think Franklin Sussex Auto Mall has covered all the bases, Coach Snouffer hits one out of the park!  Being that April is all about baseball at FSAM, we are bringing in a big hitter…Darryl Strawberry…the “Straw” himself!  Darryl will be at the dealership on April 24th 2010!  During his 17-year career, he helped lead the New York Mets to a World Series championship in 1986 and the New York Yankees to three World Series championships in 1996, 1998 and 1999.  Strawberry is one of only four (4) Major League Baseball players to have played for all four current or former New York teams—the New York Yankees, the New York Mets, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the San Francisco Giants. Furthermore, Darryl Strawberry is the only player to spend his entire career playing for these teams, and is only one of two recognized as winning a World Series championship with both of New York’s current teams.  A popular player during his career and still today, Strawberry was voted to the All Star Game eight straight times from 1984–1991.

From 3pm to 6pm, this Major League Baseball All Star will be posing for pictures and signing autographs.  Did you ever wonder if he liked being a Met better than a Yankee?  Or perhaps what he thinks of the new stadiums?  Well, now is your chance to ask him!  The last hour of his visit with us will be a question and answer session where you’ll get inside info directly from Darryl Strawberry himself!   Plus, FSAM will raffle off an autographed Strawberry jersey and have additional giveaways for some lucky attendees.

Around 1953, Jeep owners and enthusiasts started to gather together to talk about their Jeeps, show them off and challenge their vehicles in the great outdoors to access the inaccessible.  Join us May 8th, and watch the mud fly, as Jeeps come together at Franklin Sussex Auto Mall in support of the American Diabetes Association. 

CONGRATULATIONS JAIME SHROPE OF SUSSEX! WINNER OF THE 2010 DODGE RAM 1500!

It was March Markdown Madness at Franklin Sussex Auto Mall last month!  It started with a baseketball hoop in the showroom.  This allowed our buyers a chance to win an additional $1,000 as a thank you for their purchase.  We gave away money, TV’s and lots of other goodies!  Just ask Mr. Charles Tiensch!  After his purchase of a 2010 Ram 1500, he sunk a basket worth $1,000!   That was only the beginning.  The month ended with the big dance so to speak….we gave away a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 TRX4…truck of the year for 2010!  This set a record at the Auto Mall as it was the highest valued (and literally BIGGEST prize) we have ever offered.  With a window sticker of over $37,400, it drew a crowd last Saturday of roughly 400 guests….all hoping to hear their name called by Marie Lake of  WSUS.  And that is exactly what happend for Jaime Shrope.  He was one of the first names called, sunk that basketball like an All Star, and selected the matching key.   It couldn’t have gone smoother for Jaime!  And to top it all off, FSAM sold 25 cars due to the excellent deals available to us.  Giveaways, free BBQ, and great staff and great deals….we are truly the ONLY choice you need!

As 2009 draws to its official close, I would like to take this time to recall what a great year it was at Franklin Sussex Auto Mall.  January started us off right with a Big Game Event Tailgate Party right in the showroom.  We tied our own record on January 31^st selling 40 cars in one day!  We gave away a 50” TV with surround sound system that day and another in February.  Oh, Valentine’s Day!  We gave roses to all our lady visitors, and nibbled on gourmet cheeses, chocolates and sparkling cider!  March remained one of the favorite months here at the Auto Mall…March Markdown Madness.  We turned the showroom into a basketball court and gave away a new Dodge Journey. How did we follow up that?  Well, baseball season of course!  Bucky Dent and Mookie Wilson stopped by the dealership and answered questions, signed autographs and helped us raffle off prizes like autographed jerseys and a scooter.  In July, the Dodge Boys Red Zone Tour pulled into town.  Race simulators, games and giveaways, and the coolest bus ever!  When the bus rolled out, our favorite cousin rolled in…..John “Bo Duke” Schneider.  He was as wonderful and pleasant as the year before, and has truly become the FSAM fan favorite around here (mine too I might add!)  This summer Franklin Sussex Auto Mall also held our first ever Diaper Derby with the assistance of WSUS.  It was one of the most amusing things I have ever seen.  Turn out was incredible, four heats had to be run and each child came with their own cheering section.  Tommy from the Rugrats was on hand for pictures and joined us for yet another free BBQ.  Then there was “Cash for Clunkers”….a first for us all.  Rebates of around $4000, in addition to new car incentives enabled us to help customers turn in their gas guzzlers.  September was our Safari Savings Event, which meant converting the showroom yet again…this time for animal cages and a reptile show starring our friend, Urban Tarzan.  Our Halloween Party was one of the biggest with over 200 costumes to judge, and we gave away over $2000 in prizes.  November was a month for showing our appreciation for our men and women overseas, and we overflowed a Dodge Ram with donations.  In addition, we partnered up with Go Army Sports to give away a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. 

Now, here we were in December.  We have been very busy this month as customers come in for their Year End Wrap Up deals…there is still time for you too! This is the sale of all sales, so please stop by.  Now is the time to buy.
