In an effort to target owners who want to customize their vehicles, Chrysler annouced that they would begin offering in-car Internet access, an industry first.

This new feature will be added to existing vehicles by dealers beginning this year and will later be installed on the assembly line. The technology will allow passengers to search web sites utilizing signals from mobile phone towers. The idea is to make every one of its vehicles a WiFi hub.
